Explanation
Business-to-consumer (B-to-C) relationships
The success of e-commerce lies in its ability to reach customers in a convenient way and in providing cost-effective services. Companies can identify the needs and wants of customers better by analyzing their interaction with the e-commerce site. They can improve their marketing technologies accordingly.
Business-to-business (B-to-B) relationships
The Internet provides the possibility of interaction among businesses. This provides the opportunity to restructure business services. An organization might need several other services to provide e-commerce, such as orders and payment processing. So relationships exist between a business and other small businesses required for the business. This relationship is defined as a submodel and is called the business-to-small business (B-to-SB) model.
Business-to-employee (B-to-E) relationships
A business can use the web to transmit information to its employees. Examples are giving the user conditions of work or other security policies through the web. The web can also be used among the employees as a communication tool.
Business-to-government (B-to-G) relationships
This model includes all transactions between private companies and government organizations. As the government increases its use of e-commerce applications, this relationship is bound to expand. Some examples of this e-commerce model are payment of corporate taxes and VAT returns.
Consumer-to-government (C-to-G) relationships
This is a feasible model and exists in some territories. As B-to-B and B-to-G models are increasingly used, this model can be used for purposes such as self-assessment of tax and other welfare payments.
Exchange-to-exchange (X-to-X) relationships
This model refers to relationships between several B-to-B and B-to-SB groups. This provides organizations the option of acquiring required services at competitive prices.
