Today’s Advancement of Search Engine Algorithms
Today search engines and algorithms are more sophisticated than ever. If you type a word or phrase into a search box & click the search button, you have to wait only a few seconds to get thousands of results.
On Google you type letter by letter to get a different set of results and in most cases you get suggested keywords to help automatically complete your search phrase.
Not only that, most of the time those results take you to websites that are relevant to what you are searching for and very rarely does the website link you click on appear to be non-existent or is not available.
What is a Search Engine Algorithm?
The easiest way to answer this question is search engines are algorithms to process the billions of peace of information they have collected about web pages on the internet. An algorithm is a list of filters and rules used to decide which websites most closely relate to the search term entered into the search engine. You then see the results of what the algorithm decided were the best results for your searched words or phrases on the screen.
What you do not know is little programs called bots, crawlers or spiders have virtually every website on the internet to collect information on everyone of them. These little programs collect keywords; phrases and other coding located on every website, and then store this information in hug databases used by search engines. Virtually a copy of every publicly available website and picture worldwide can be found on these search engines.

Let’s say you go to a website URL such as www.clickperfect.in . the funny thing is what you see (also called content) on the website that comes up accounts for only about 20 percent of what search engines are use to decide what makes a site relevant for any keyword searches. People say “I have a good looking website, better than my competitor! Why am I at the bottom of searches and why is my competitor at the top of the searchs? I even have more Meta tags than him! ”
The answer gets a little complicated from there. It is probably not what you see on the website. It is what is being done on the backend that you don’t see! Often, what is most relevant is the code that makes up the pages, the density of the use of the keywords, as well as the relevancy of links into and out of the page.
